Luxurious Californian Mediterranean Home

Enter the 6,500 sq. ft. custom home through the impressive 9’x 12’ alder doorway. Above you a Venetian plaster dome crowns the foyer and staircase. Wide Aumari wood inlays on the diagonal in the limestone floor tiles work well with the long wall lines and archways. The 10’ high elevated ceilings throughout the ground level complement the tasteful décor, to create an aura of Mediterranean warmth which permeates every room.

Double back through the foyer and continue to the east wing of the home. The north facing office is lined with built-in alder wood shelving and has a hidden desk. Custom made light fixtures, wall sconces and carriage lights are found throughout the home.

The hand hewn supporting beams supporting the ceilings are from old wood doors. The wooden cabinet surrounding the fireplace is inspired from a heritage home in New Zealand.

There are several unforgettable features for the kitchen: the island of stained alder is covered in pewter which is complemented nicely by the copper stove hood; the counter tops are leathered granite which eliminates the glare from the light above; the floors equipped with radiant heating, are made of cumaru wood, which is one of the hardest woods on the market. The great room is highlighted by vaulted ceilings and an oversized pre-cast fireplace.

Exit the family room onto the covered outdoor living room and make your way to the pool house to your right. At the top of the stairs onlong the right side of the pool house awaits another open air sitting / dinning area.
